  We will be back again!!!  - It's with much enthusiasm that I write this review. Greeted with a very warm welcome, Darren and Anna were the perfect hosts. Everything performed with immense gusto.

The... read more rooms are exceptional and very well appointed, comfortable, spacious and with a very large shower that had lots of hot water.

The breakfast was plentiful and certainly didn’t disappoint. Anna was aware that we were planning a 12 mile hike and fed us all accordingly.

The property is surrounded by magnificent scenery and accommodates both the weekend stroller or the more adventurous. The Cevennes valleys and Ardeche are a must see.

And of course the private pool, with it's peaceful surrounding, is the perfect place for reading a book or taking refreshments.

A very rustic, yet warm, homely place that is perfect for relaxing in the evening.

If I could give 10 stars I would!!

Every minor detail was considered and they were on hand to recommend local treasures such as a vineyard tour, incredible local restaurant and wading in the beautiful local river. The apartment was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable! I had a bath with the window wide open just looking out at the pure beauty that surrounds the property. It is quaint, full of character and love. I came home feeling more myself than I have in a long time. I couldn’t recommend this place any more. We have booked to go back next year with the 4 children for a real family togetherness experience ❤️ thank you Anna and Darren for your wonderful hospitality xxx

  Fantastic accommodation, hosts and great location.  - We took our 3 children to away for a week and stayed at the beautiful La Mas De Roussa. This is real luxury accommodation, the kids loved the river and... read more the pool and were able to wander around freely while we relaxed in the peace and quiet of the amazing surroundings. Great location too with shops only a 5 minute drive away and loads to do around the area. Darren and Anna couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble and they were such fantastic hosts. Will definitely be back. 🙂

  Le Mas de Roussa review  - We had an amazing stay at Le Mas de Roussa!

The setting is unbelievable, with great views and a beautiful river a short stroll from the house. The... read more grounds are spacious and relaxing and they have a great pool area which is a real sun trap.

The property itself is a beautiful old building, which has been lovingly restored by Darren and Anna, the amazing owners and first class hosts! They lay on lots of nice little touches in the very stylish guest apartments and they are always on hand to help with any local advice.

We will definitely return again soon!

  Luxurious family holiday in beautiful Le Mas de Roussa in the Cevennes with lots of nature, activities and relaxation  - We have just stayed in August 2024 for a family holiday and have had such an amazing time that we will and must return again to experience this small piece... read more of paradise in the Cevennes !

The entire property and the gites were immaculate and luxurious and we made much use of the glorious pool, BBQ’s and grounds to indulge in much river and woodland walking and nature spotting including many animal species such as Otters, Beaver, Red Squirrel, Birds, Butterflies, Bats, Dragonflies and many more !

Darren and Anna looked after us very well and gave us many top local recommendations for exploring the local area including Wines Tasting, Antiques Fairs, Nature Walking, Hiking Trails, River swimming, Kayaking, Craft and Food Markets, Gorge and Mountain view points which made this an extra special experience.

The property was great for our elderly parents and also young children and there is much to do and see for entertainment and activities as well as the serious chilling and relaxing environment created for the perfect holiday !

We absolutely loved our stay and we shall certainly return as soon as possible and we can highly recommend Le Mas de Roussa and Darren and Anna and their lovely family as the perfect hosts and guides !

  A small piece of paradise  - From september 6th until 15th we stayed at the 2 bedroom gite and had a magnificent time at Mas de Roussa. As soon as you drive up the driveway, it... read more feels like you are away from the rest of the world!

Our gite had a beautiful view of the nearby hills, river and the lovely courtyard. At night, if you sleep with the window open, you can hear the river gently stream and sometimes you can hear the boar roam through the woods.

Eveything you need is at hand: refreshing pool (with view), exquisite dining area, Bbq facilities etc. If you need anything or want to go anywhere: just ask Anna or Darren!

Last but not least, if you visit Mas de Roussa, make sure to go down to the river, it is beautiful!

Would definitely come back to this place and recommend everyone to go there!

  Wonderful sunny stay at Le Mas de Roussa  - We stayed at Le Mas de Roussa in a two bedroom gite with friends at the end of July and had a wonderful time.

The grounds are absolutely stunning,... read more with the noise of the cicadas it is the perfect place to relax and unwind!

The gite is beautifully furnished - french chic, with a well equipped kitchen including tea and ground coffee which was lovely to enjoy on the outside terrace in the morning!
The bedrooms again are well decorated, both good sizes with very comfortable beds.
The bathroom is shared and has been perfectly renovated, with a gorgeous walk-in rainforest shower and my personal favourite roll top bath! Furnished with plenty of towels.

The weather was beautiful on our stay and we spent a lot of time using the pool area. There are plenty of sunloungers and a shaded lounge area to relax when the sun is a little too hot. Also equipped with pool towels.

Do venture the 30 acres, just a short walk away is a beautiful river which you can also swim in, bring a picnic and take in the scenery!
There is also table tennis and a boules court which children would enjoy!

Anna and Darren were really good hosts, very accommodating and knowledgeable about the local area.

We will definitely be going back with our children next time!
